Tattoo Regret: Don't Make This Mistake
So many men get brilliant tattoos, but then realise the tattoo requires maintenance to look it's best.

You have probably put a lot of thought into your tattoo design (well okay, maybe not always) but your design is meant to be seen without a furry covering. At Man Time Grooming we are often asked about hair removal options on tattooed skin. Sure you can shave or clipper it every few days for the rest of your life, or you can save time and wax the area, not a painless option, but it is longer lasting, and regrowth isn't as scratchy. The ultimate is laser hair removal. BUT YOU CAN'T DO LASER ON TATTOOS.
That's because the laser targets pigment, just like the pigment in your tattoo. So you are just going to burn your tattoo.

What Can You Do?
Think ahead. Get laser hair removal before dipping the needle in ink.
Sorry, it isn't a one session and you are done thing. Generally you need six sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart to remove all the hair. This is because the laser only works on actively growing hair, which is about 20% of your hair at any time. It may take time, but it is worth it. You can then show off your skin art fur free. Some clients also opt for just a few sessions to thin out the coverage. That is fine, but there is no guarantee on an even reduction.
Doesn't It Hurt?
Not sure why you would ask, as you are getting a tattoo. But since you're wondering, no it doesn't. Our German Engineered Laser was selected for maximum effect on men's skin. Sometimes there is a little discomfort like a mild sunburn sensation, but some clients have compared it to getting a massage. We check in with a pain rating of 1 to 10 with 1 being no pain and 10 being extremely painful, and clients generally report 1-2.
